Tracy Hunker Obituary

Tracy Allen Hunker

Tracy Allen Hunker, 68, of Marysville, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at his residence.

Tracy was born in 1957, in Tiffin, to the late Laurel L. and Wilma E. (Miller) Hunker. He was a graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School in Bascom and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a master of Arts in Journalism from The Ohio State University.

Tracy was both an artist and an art journalist. He was an enthusiastic promoter of the art and music community in Columbus, especially the Short North Arts District. Starting in the late 70s through the 80s, he published two avant-garde magazines, "Testube/New Wave Art and Technology" and "High Street Art". In the 2000s, while continuing his artistic activities, he moved to Marysville and worked at the Honda automotive plant, retiring in 2017.

Survivors include his brother, Steven (Janna) of Westford, Massachusetts, as well as a niece, nephew, and many cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 1- 2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin, with his memorial service beginning at 2 p.m.
