Tyler Hoffman Obituary

Tyler Ray Hoffman

Tyler Ray Hoffman, known to most as Huffy, 37, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 23, 2023.

He was born Dec. 17, 1985, in Fremont, to Patti (Stevens) and Haldon Hoffman. Tyler attended Vanguard and graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 2004. He joined the Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department on Dec. 13, 2009. Tyler later met his wife, Jennifer (Frankart) Hoffman, in 2012, and married Aug. 11, 2018. They have two beautiful sons, Konner and Kolten Hoffman, who were Tyler's pride and joy and were always ready to be Daddy's helpers.

Tyler had a love for working on equipment, farming, excavating, firefighting, and anything that involved getting his hands dirty. He was the one that anyone could call for help and he would be right there, no matter what he was doing. Tyler loved to work hard and play harder. He spent many weekends taking his family camping and teaching the boys how to ride 4-wheelers. He touched so many people's hearts and was truly an amazing man. Tyler was a member of the Eagles and proud and valued member of GVFD. Tyler was employed by Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18, at Rudolph Libbe and D2 Excavating.

Tyler had many titles in his lifetime and he had to leave to gain another. He became a Guardian Angel for his loved ones left behind on this Earth, his mother, Patti (Jerry) Wasserman; siblings, Kori (Ryan Sexton) Hoffman, Krystle (Raul Reyna) Hoffman, and Troy (Michael Jones) Hoffman; mother-in-law, Sandi (Bill Dell) Frankart, father-in-law, Greg (Bonnie) Frankart, sister-in-law, Missy Frankart; and brother-in-law, Stephen (Hannah) Frankart. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Haldon (Doc) Hoffman; maternal grandparents, Richard and Rose Stevens; and paternal grandparents, Ray and Glodean Hoffman.

Mass to celebrate Tyler's life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Saint Michael Catholic Church, 317 E. Madison St., Gibsonburg. Visitation with the family will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. A celebration of life will follow at his home, 424 County Road 60, Helena. Please feel free to wear your country casual attire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his wife and sons.
