Velma Iannantuono Obituary
Velma Jean Iannantuono, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at The Willows at Bellevue.
Velma was born Aug. 2, 1938, in Whitley City, Kentucky, to William and Lola (Hughs) Gibson. She married Johnny D. Iannantuono on April 26, 1954, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and later reaffirmed their vows in 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin with Rev. Downey officiating.
Velma is survived by her children, Dan (Dawn) Iannantuono of Tiffin, Tim (Marge) Iannantuono of Tiffin, and Brian (Donna) Iannantuono of Delaware, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Brad) Aurand, Lee Iannantuono, Angie (Shawn Shriver) Reser, Britney Iannantuono, Todd (Anna Mates)Iannantuono, Kevin (Amy) Iannantuono, Jason (Neily) Iannantuono, and Eric (Joanna) Iannantuono; 13 great-grandchildren, Gavin and Giada Iannantuono, Max Adkins, Landon, Aiden, and Draven Aurand, Kaylee, Liliana, and Scarlet Iannantuono, Zoli and Piper Iannantuono, and Avri and Dominic Iannantuono; and sister, Wilma Sue Coffee of Anderson, Indiana.
Velma worked at Tiffin State Hospital and other various jobs. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin. Velma enjoyed cleaning house, walking, and most of all, her dogs.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Don and Bill Gibson; three sisters, Thelma Irene Foster, Mary Louise Ferguson, and Norma Jean Haller; and twin infant sisters.
Velma's graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. There will be no visitation at this time.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca County Humane Society.
