Vera Mae Rogers

Vera Mae Rogers passed away Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at The Willows of Willard. Vera was born July 7, 1930, to Fred and Clara (Wirth) Stockmaster. She grew up on the farm of her grandfather, Charles, that is still in the Stockmaster family. She was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Bismark, and graduated from Willard High School. After earning a certificate from Tiffin University, she worked at NOBA, Tiffin.

Vera married Paul Rogers on Oct. 25, 1952, in Bismark. They lived in the Attica area all their married life and were members of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Attica. After Paul died in 2004, Vera moved to Tiffin and enjoyed her grandchildren's weddings and the birth of her 19 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Her last two years were spent at The Willows of Willard.

Preceding her in death were Paul; her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Leo Peiffer; brother, Herbert Stockmaster, stillborn twin girls; and a granddaughter. Surviving Vera are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy Osborne of Bowling Green, Paula and Steve Anatra of Howard, Renee and Jeff Mahl of Laurelville, Sharon and Tom Sheibley of New Washington, and Sue and Brad Hawkins of Tiffin. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Jessica, Ryan, Courtney, Ashley, Natalie, Tiffany, Kay, Scott, Erica, Zack, Jake, and Matt. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Bernadette (Miller) Stockmaster.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica, with the Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass at the church. Burial will follow the services at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Attica. Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR. 19, Bloomville, is assisting family with arrangements.
