Nancy Hesson passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Nancy was born on July 29, 1947 in Baltimore to her parents, Regina and Donald Funk. Nancy worked as both a professional and volunteer nurse at most of their assigned locations. They finally settled in Northern Virginia where her most recent employment was at Reston Hospital Center, until her retirement in 2005. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, John; their daughter, Cynthia Hesson, and her children, Allison and Amanda Riggs; and their son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Marnie Hesson, and their children, Blake and Morgan Hesson, and Conner Heuer. She is also survived by half-brother, Donald Funk, Jr.; half-sister, Donna Dickey; and stepsisters, Bettye Jo Fairall and Nancy Rupert. They will all miss her greatly.
