Viola Ziegler Obituary
Viola G. Ziegler, 94, of Bellevue, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Bellevue Care Center.
She was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Sandusky, to Arthur and Elsie (Eisenhauer) Krueger. Viola grew up on the family farm on Mason Road, Castalia. She graduated from Margaretta High School and went to work for Brown Industries, Sandusky.
Viola met Henry Ziegler at a farm bureau dance. They were married Nov. 8, 1947, and began their family farm on St. Rt. 18, Clyde. Later, Viola returned to work and retired from Union Bank. Viola was a very active member of Zion United Church of Christ, Fireside.
Viola is survived by three sons, Harvey (Carolyn "Mimi") Ziegler of Wildwood, Missouri, Jack (Brenda) Ziegler of Republic, and David (Kelley) Ziegler of Clyde; 10 grandchildren, Jason Ziegler of Gardner, Kansas, Sarah Ziegler of Republic, Jacob Ziegler of Bellevue, Paul Ziegler of Omaha, Nebraska, Andrew Ziegler of Clyde, Eric Ziegler of Kansas City, Missouri, Jessica Ziegler of Clyde, Cody Ziegler of Republic, Joseph Black of Rutledge, Missouri, and Rowena Drechsler of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; and sister, Alice Steed of Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank; sister, Eilene Perry; and brother, William Krueger.
Viola's funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Zion UCC, Fireside 13525 E. TR 178, Bellevue, with Pastor Bryan Niebanck officiating. Burial will follow at Fireside Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St, Bellevue.
Memorials may be given to Zion United Church of Christ, Fireside.
