Virginia Weaver Obituary
Virginia Marie Weaver, 79, of Tiffin, died at 10:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital emergency room.
Virginia was born Oct. 8, 1944, in Tiffin, to Sylvan and Pauline (Elchert) Hohman. She married Marion Joseph Weaver on Oct. 21, 1967, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin, and he survives.
Virginia's other survivors include two daughters, Kathleen (Don) Oliver of Mason and Elizabeth Weaver of Columbus; three grandchildren, Emma (Carl) Mink, Gwyneth Oliver, and Shane Oliver; and two great-grandchildren, Colton and Braxton Mink.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Virginia was a 1962 graduate of Calvert High School and 1963 graduate of Sandusky School of Practical Nursing. She was a housewife and owner of Weaver's Bakery for 20 years. She also worked at Mercy Hospital, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and it's Rosary Altar Society, the Josephines, and Allen Eiry Center, and donated quilts for project Linus for many years.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113. Prayers will be said at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at the funeral home with funeral Mass at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. The rosary will be recited at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. (Financial Aid for Cancer Treatment).
