William Lang Obituary
William "Bill" E. Lang III, 86, of Findlay, passed away at 11:26 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, at The Heritage. He was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Tiffin, to the late William E. II and Martha (Lutz) Lang.
William is survived by his wife of 63 years, Tanyce (Spitzer) Lang; sister, Marcille Straub of Sycamore; sons, Gregg (Pam) Lang of Findlay and Mark Lang of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren, Seth (Bailey) Lang and Nicole Lang; and brother and sister-in-law, Arden and Sandy Spitzer.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard Cory Lang.
Bill practiced law in Sidney, Ohio, for over 45 years and was the Law Director for 30 years. He was a former member of Sidney Optimist Club-Charter President, Ohio Municipal Attorneys Association (past President), Shelby County Children's Service Board, Area Agency on Aging Board of Trustees, Sidney-Shelby County YMCA Board of Trustees, and former member of First United Methodist Church of Sidney.
Bill's funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Jonah Gillespie will be officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.

I had the privilege of working as a legal secretary for Bill Lang for eight years. He was one of the most astute persons I have known, with a heart for those that were "struggling with life,' Many lives were made better because of his compassion for the downtrodden.
