William Pahl Obituary
William Vernon "Bill" "Willie" Pahl, 68, of Fostoria, passed away at 3:53 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, surrounded by his family at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1956, in Fostoria, Ohio to William B. and Charleen Marie (Marks) Pahl. He married Julie D. Pierce on Jan. 14, 1989.
He is survived by his loving wife Julie of Fostoria; children, Matthew (Raquel) Pahl of Fostoria, Andrea (Brad Sadler) Pahl–Young of Republic, Christopher (Sara) Jacquot of Woodville, William Pahl of Fostoria, Kyle Pahl of Findlay; grandchildren, Jarred Pahl, Takoda Pahl, Payn Young, Paige (Ty) Burroughs, Alysen Young, Everett Jacquot, Maisie Jacquot, Gavin Pahl, Mila Pahl and Lillian Pahl; great-grandchildren, Memphis Rae Pahl and Kenslei Skender; sister, Lou Ann (Eric) Wentz of Fostoria; and brother, Charles W. (Nancy) Pahl of Fostoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen Pahl.
Bill was a 1974 graduate of Fostoria High School. He worked as a machinist for National Machinery, Tiffin, Century Die, Fremont and Honeywell, Fostoria. He also was the founder of "Pahl's Playground," his favorite place.
His favorite things were being surrounded by all of his family and friends, The Ohio State Buckeyes, camping, boating, pool-time, endless zerberts for anyone who would "look up", Tootsie rolls in the candy dish, and his Charlie Brown Dog (who was waiting on him). He will always be remembered for giving the biggest and best hugs and who was willing to help ANYONE.
A celebration of Bill's life will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, at Hoening & Son Funeral Home 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830, and those attending the celebration please wear your Hawaiian shirts or Ohio State, casual please.
Memorial contributions are suggested to NAMI, a four county northwest Ohio free mental health support resource or a local humane society, c/o the funeral home.
