William Stanley Obituary
William J. "Billy" Stanley Jr., 65, of Tiffin, passed away Friday morning, April 5, 2024, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, to William J. and Betty L. (Walton) Stanley Sr.
Billy's survivors include his brother, Ken (Kathleen) Stanley of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; sisters, Pat (Richard) Frontz of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Deb (Jerry) Johnston of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Walt Szablewski of Ravensdale, Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Szablewski.
Billy graduated in 1976 from Seneca County School of Opportunity. After graduating, he worked at their workshop for many years, later retiring. Billy was a member of Restoration Alliance Church. He was a simple man who loved his job and School of Opportunity, bowling, puzzles, Sci-Fi movies, Mountain Dew, birthdays, going on long car rides, and out to eat, and loved showing everyone his wallet.
Billy's funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Brent Nusbaum officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to School of Opportunity.
