Windell W. "Windy" Lawson, 81, of Tiffin, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday evening, January 27, 2026, at her home.
Windy was born June 8, 1944, in Pulaski, Kentucky, to the late Ira Shelby Perry and Edna Walker Perry. She married the love of her life, George Lawson, June 30, 1962.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay (Robert) Pate of Leesburg, Florida and Vickie Michelle Comer of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Brandi (Douglas) Cranston of Ottawa, Ontario, Samantha (Joseph) LaLonde of Ottawa Lake, Michigan and Chase (Zach) Comer of Tiffin; two great granddaughters, Quinn and Nora Cranston; brother, Wayne (Kathy) Perry of Kentucky; and special sisters-in-law, Renee Perry, Betty Walker and Helen Perry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Lawson; brothers, Arthur Walker, Mike Perry, and Ronald Perry; special sisters-in-law, Joyce Perry and Ray Perry; and sisters, Ruth Ann Wheeler and Oneeda Honeycutt.
Windy was a homemaker and a faithful member of Adams Twp. Freewill Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Zach Glen for his devoted care of our mother and also to all her "special" and wonderful caregivers, who she loved dearly.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with family from 1 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribu-tions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
