Alice Pollard Obituary

Alice was born in Augusta, GA, on March 23, 1943. In 1945, she moved to Cincinnati, OH, where she was raised and attended Princeton High School.
In 1958, she moved to Boston, MA, where she raised her family and worked as a nurse's aide. In 1977, she returned to Cincinnati, OH, to help care for her mother and continued raising her children there. In 2020, she strengthened her faith and actively participated in several charities that were dear to her heart.
She became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Johnny Pollard; her father, Curtis Ruffin Sr.; her mother, Marie Littles; her brothers, Curtis Ruffin Jr. and Emmanual Littles; her sister, Margaret Santiago; her son, Montez Pollard; and her daughter, Rosalind Braunskill.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara A. Ruffin; her son, John Ruffin; her daughter, Collette Lyles-Boyd, and son-in-law, Adam Boyd; and her daughter, Stephanie Sims.
She leaves behind her grandchildren: Jamie Pollard, Jarese Hyde, Lawrence Smith, Latoya Pollard, Kali Neeley, Darrin Browder, Ronald Pollard, and Zy'aria Hixon.
Her great-grandchildren include Jalen Grant, Jalea Grant, Jaleon Grant, Martez Smith, Mariah Smith, Kierian Smith, and Rosalind Lindsey, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Springdale, Ohio 45246.
