Joan Murphy Obituary

Joan Carol Murphy of Clovis passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the age of 79. Joan was an RN/LCSW for 40 years and most recently worked for Kaiser Permanente as a Psychiatric Case Manager before retiring in 2021. Joan is survived by her 4 children and their spouses: Robert Armas and his wife Sherry, Jana Eller and her husband Scott, Stephen Armas and his wife Lisa, Matthew Armas and his wife Cathleen, her step-son, Tim Murphy of Oregon and his wife Liz, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way. Joan is also survived by her only sister, Beverly Duke, her niece, Suzanne Garrison and her husband, Scott, grandniece, Brittany Essick and her husband, Brandon, and their daughter Audry, and grandnephew, Zachary Garrison all of North Carolina. Joan is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Joan is predeceased by her father and mother, Joseph and Barbara Engelman, her husband of 35 years, Tim Murphy, and her brother-in-law, Bill Murphy.
