Ann M. Love, 61, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, February 22, 2025, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.
A gathering to celebrate Ann’s life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in The Life Center at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2704 38th Street, Rock Island, Illinois. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.
The former Ann Marie Bruneel was born May 9, 1963, in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul Frank and Mary Margaret “Peggy” (Shively) Bruneel. She graduated from the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Illinois, in 1982 and went on to work as a data clerk for the Rock Island Arsenal for nine years.
She married the love of her life, Allen Ray Love, Sr., on April 25, 1987, in Rock Island. He passed away November 21, 2011.
Ann is survived by two children, Ray Paul Love of Rock Island and April Paula Love of Lebanon, Tennessee; her mother, Peggy Smit of Moline; Ann’s fiancé, Tony Nanos of Rock Island; and two grandchildren, Javonie Dean Meese and Zaden Dean Meese, both of Clinton, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Love, Sr.; her father, Paul Bruneel; her sister, Paula Bruneel; step-father, Steven Smit; and grandparents, Charles and Edna Shively, and Frank and Alice Bruneel.
