In addition to a successful 40-year career at Procter & Gamble, Dave had a wide range of interests and hobbies that he enjoyed during his always active 87 years. Dave was the ultimate outdoorsman who loved everything found in nature. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, bird watcher, and animal lover including his pets and the many stray animals he cared for. The other activities he enjoyed throughout his life included coaching sports teams, playing tennis, studying history, working on his many collections, supporting his NY Giants, and following his granddaughters' activities. Dave's down to earth style and charming personality made it easy for him to quickly connect and develop lifelong friendships with a wide range of people he crossed paths with. He loved and was loved by friends he met through the Carthage neighborhood he grew up in, St Matthews Church, Miner's Bay Lodge, P&G, Gun Shops (Costello's & Center Mass), Bob Evan's breakfast club, Mimi's Bakery, Fairfield Sportsmen's Assoc., the many friends he met through his collecting hobbies, and most recently several of his healthcare aides .... just to name a few.
