Elrose Ross Obituary
Elrose "Ellie" Lou Schuler Ross, age 81, of Crittenden, KY, passed away, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY. She was a Homemaker and a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Walton, KY. Ellie was independent, feisty, and deeply loved her family and friends. Her husband, Woodrow "Woody" Ross, who preceded her in death in 2014, was a U.S Marine and Vietnam Veteran, and as a result, Ellie was very patriotic and served in the Ralph Fulton VFW Post #6423 Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Post #277 in Walton, KY. She was a member of the Good Gals Club in Walton, KY. Over the years, Ellie collected many angel figurines and later in life she enjoyed watching TV, especially her soap operas. In addition to Woody, others preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Margaret Barth Schuler and siblings, Kenny Schuler, Lorraine Messerschmidt, and Eileen Mergenthal. Survivors include her son, Jason Woodrow Ross (Rebecca); siblings, Wilma Kiefer (Denny) and Shirley Wilhelm; and grandchildren, Aidan Woodrow Ross and Kylie Jayanna Ross. Visitation for Ellie will be Friday, March 28, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:30 am with her funeral service immediately following at 11:30 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N. Main St., Walton, KY 41094. Ellie's favorite color was purple, so the Ross family is inviting all those who attend her services to wear purple if they are able. Memorial donations are suggested to the Ralph Fulton VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #6423, 4435 Dixie Hwy., Elsmere, KY 41018.
