Glen L. Butt, 78, of Arthur, IL passed away at 1:04 A.M. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. David Babb will officiate. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Glen was born on June 27, 1944, in Decatur, IL. He was a son of Robert and Martha (Baugher) Butt. He married Linda Kelly on June 19, 1964, in Bethany, IL. Linda was the love of his life which we are sure he is happy to be reunited with. She passed away on April 28, 2020.
He is survived by four children, Angie Hayes and her husband Wade, Kim Babb and her husband David, Lori Watkins, and her husband Jim, all of Arthur, IL, and Ronnie Butt and his wife Janice of Champaign, IL, fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Butt and his wife Deb of Murfreesboro, TN and Doug Butt of Springfield, IL and one sister, Jane Davis of Riverview, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Glen retired from Masterbrand Cabinets in Arthur, IL where he made many friends and was loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed drag racing for several years and always looked forward to spending time with his family.
Glen was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Rural Sullivan.
