Henry Lopez Obituary

Henry H. Lopez, 86, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 28, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas, and lived a full and loving life dedicated to his family.
Henry is survived by his devoted wife, Julia R. Lopez, and children Eva Lavers, Patricia Tello (Maurice), Timothy Lopez (Dana), Richard Lopez, Elizabeth Scott (Sid), Rudy Hernandez (Lupe), and Andy Hernandez (Madi), sister Mary Lou Gibbard. He was also the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 9 great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon B. Lopez Jr. and Eva Hernandez, his son, John Henry Lopez, and his brothers, Robert Lopez and Ray Lopez. Henry is also reunited with numerous aunts and uncles, whose memories he cherished.
Henry was a man of warmth, kindness, and wisdom. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and strength he shared with them.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (2829 Ackerman Rd, Kirby, TX 78219) with a procession to depart the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
