Hope Ellise Garner, 48, born March 13, 1977, daughter of Carolyn Garner and the late Darnell Dumas passed away on March 16, 2025 after a long illness. Hope was a great cook and loved for others to enjoy her meals. She brought the best dishes to every family gathering. She was a great event planner. She loved spending time with her family but especially her grandchildren. She truly loved her family whether or not they were blood and would do anything for anyone. She was a great daughter, sister, mother, cousin and friend. She was very loyal to a fault and was everyone's human diary.
Hope was preceded in death by an uncle, James Garner, her grandmother, Nannie Garner, her father Darnell Dumas, a brother Brandon Garner and an aunt, Hanunah Habeebullah. Hope is also preceded in death by a bonus brother, Dondale Mitchell and bonus sisters, Mia and TiTii Farris.
Hope leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Carolyn Garner, her children, Jordan, Ryan, Tyler and Briona Garner, a brother, Stephen Garner and sister, Faith Garner, Grandchildren, Kaisen Stewart, Kyan, Ryan, Spencer and Hezekiah Garner. A special aunt, Brenda Dumas and Special Friends, Lavonda McNair and Georgette Fisher and a host of family and friends. We the Garner family would like to acknowledge and thank all acts of kindness it is greatly appreciated.
Services will be held for Hope on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation 11-1 pm Funeral at 1:00 pm. Fender Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
