The Lord came on March 8th, 2025 at 3 am to give Jeffothel Marie Morrison her wings at the Blessed age of 89 years. Jeffothel was at home with her loving and devoted husband Billy “B.J.” Morrison, III. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Ford Memorial C.O.G.I.C. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Jeffothel lived a Blessed and fulfilled life as God saw fit. Jeffothel gave her life to Jesus Christ on December 28, 1958, and was filled with the Holy Ghost at Roxtor Church of God in Christ.
Jeffothel moved to Lubbock, TX December 1959, joined Ford Memorial Church of God In Christ that year. Jeffothel started working at 1st Christian Church for 30 years until retiring. 23 Psalm was Jeffothel's favorite verse.
Jeffothel was engaged to Evangelist Billy “B.J.” Morrison, III March 8, 1982. Dated for 1 year and 3 months, Married on June 25, 1983 at 1st Christian Church on Broadway by Rev. C. C. Peoples. He said; till death do us part!!!
Jeffothel’s greatest passion in life was to love God, her husband, and her children.
Jeffothel is preceded in death by her father Odis Rhodes, Sr, her mother Dorothy Yates, and her brother Odis Rhodes, Jr.
Jeffothel is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Billy “B.J.” Morrison, III, her sister Minnie R. Ray of San Antonio, TX, her brothers John Rhodes of San Diego, CA, and A.C. Rhodes of El Paso, TX, her grand and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
