Jesus Rodriguez, 78 of Lubbock, Texas, passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 23,2025 he was born on May 1, 1946, to Jesus Maldonado Rodriguez and Genoveva Sanchez Rodriguez in Taft Texas.
Jesus married Emma Rodriguez on November 22, 1963. They built a strong and loving family together, welcoming six children over 61 years. Jesus worked all his life; he was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed family time, playing baseball with family, playing dominoes, and making tripas. He Was a Devoted Husband, father, grandfather, great-great grandfather, who cherished his family deeply.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jesus Maldonado Rodriguez and Genoveva Sanchez Rodriguez; his father-in-law, Catarino Rodriguez; his mother-in-law, Dora Rodriguez; his brother, Roberto Sanchez Rodriguez; his sister-in-law, Josefa Rodriguez; his other sister-in-law, Betty Rodriguez; son-in-law, Henry S Castillo Sr.; his niece, Rachael Rodriguez; his other niece, Geneva Rodriguez; and baby sister, Martha Sanchez Rodriguez.
Jesús's legacy lives on through his surviving wife and children; wife of 61 years, Emma Rodriguez; children, Rosalinda R. Castillo, Mary R. Casias (Mark Casias), Jesse Jr. Rodriguez (Brandi), Paula R. Cholick, Cathy R. Flores (Rey Flores), Ernest Rodriguez (Kim); siblings; Juanita Sanchez Rodriguez, Amalia Sanchez Rodriguez, Gregorio Sanchez Rodriguez. He is also remembered by 30 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow immediately at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Interim and the plaza Lubbock nursing facility, their compassionate care of Jesus.
