Mary Alice Yates Martin departed life February 14, 2025 in Lubbock Texas. Mary was born April 12, 1945 in Waco Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years James Martin, daughter Sandra Walley, Stepsons Walter, Ricky and Randy Martin, stepdaughter, Jayme Lopez, and a sister, Myrtle Grizzel.
She is preceded by her parents Sam Yates and Rosa Lee Glover Yates and daughter Michelle Walley, 2 Sisters Ann Bell and Catherine. She has 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Mary loved family and friends, but mostly loved her dogs. She enjoyed watching westerns with James. She attended Mackenzie Terrace Baptist Church.
Mary worked at Furr's warehouse until it closed and then retired from Walmart.
The services for Mary will be held at Sanders Funeral home on February 22, 2025 with visitation at 1:00 pm and services at 2:00 pm. The burial will be at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas on February 26th, 2025 at 2:00pm.

Worked with Mary at WM for numerous years ... she was always smiling when I walked in and when I left ... we had some wonderful conversations about everything and everybody... lol...love her ....

I love Mary she was so sweet tome and my family !! Mary and I love picking on James She would eat with me at the pancake house about 3 times a week she love her Blt sandwich but cut that lettuce and had to have her onions rings she had a beautiful smile I sure will miss her !! Hope to see you in heaven someday !!
