Patricia Alfredson Obituary

Patricia Eileen Alfredson, née Creed, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Park Ridge, IL, at 65 years old. Born on August 25, 1959, in Chicago, IL, Patricia, or "Patty" as she was affectionately known, attended Sullivan High School. Patricia married Alan Alfredson, in 1984, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and endless debates. They raised four wonderful children: Laura, James, Stephen, and Kathleen.
Patty's wit and generosity were unmatched, and she loved to learn. She spent countless hours reading and visiting her local library. She lived by the simple rule of "leave it better than you found it." This was demonstrated in many ways, especially at the many organizations she volunteered with, including Presbyterian Homes, the American Youth Soccer Organization, and Cub Scouts. But it was most simply and humbly shown in how she cared for, welcomed, and prayed for those around her.
Patricia is survived by her mother, Mildred I., née Grover, Creed; her husband, Alan; her children, Laura (Jonathan) Kim, James, Stephen, and Kathleen Alfredson; and her siblings, Dana Quaderer, Steve Quaderer, Terry Quaderer, and Robin (Steve) Inman. Her memory will also live on in her grandchildren, whom she adored dearly. Her father, Edward C. Creed, preceded her in death.
To honor Patricia's life, a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 11 a.m., in Chicago. Please contact a member of her family for details.
