Shirley Humphries Obituary

Shirley D. Humphries, 86, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025. Born on February 2, 1939, to Burtis and Dorothy (Davis) Fowler, Shirley was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who touched countless lives with her kindness and love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands and partners, William B. Toth Jr., Gordon Humphries, and Robert Plotts, as well as her children, Paula Toth South and John Harry Toth. She was the loving mother of William B. Toth III (Penny), Shirley "Cissy" Seibert (Jimmie), George Wesley Toth (Julie), Dorothy Winklespecht (Harry), Mary Ann Ullman (Fred), and Lou Ann Hoffman. Shirley was a cherished grandmother to 18, a great-grandmother to 33, and a great-great-grandmother to 6. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Shirley spent many years working at Friendly's in Marlton, where she served as a waitress, cook, and supervisor before bringing her warm spirit to Wading Pines Campground in Chatsworth, NJ. There, she became known for making breakfast sandwiches with love and welcoming visitors in the office. Shirley was also a lifetime member of the Delran VFW #3020.
In her younger years, Shirley enjoyed bowling, and throughout her life, she found joy in camping, watching hummingbirds, reading, and attending craft shows with her children. She especially loved visiting the Lancaster outlets each year for early Christmas shopping. Above all, family was at the heart of everything she did-she treasured time spent hosting holiday gatherings and making cherished memories with those she loved.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, at 10:00 AM at Crossroads Assembly, 233 Church Road, Medford, NJ 08055.

Shirley's love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
