Adelaide Barry Obituary
Adelaide V. Barry, 91, of Tiffin, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Elmwood at the Shawhan.
Adelaide was born Feb. 13, 1933, in Hells Kitchen, New York, to Edward and Alice Schmidtz. She married Jack Barry on March 21, 1954, in West Virginia, and he died Dec. 24, 1986.
Adelaide's survivors include her daughter, Louise Zoeller of Tiffin; one grandson; and long-time companion, John Rupp.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Frieda Beckley.
Adelaide was a retired house cleaner. She cared for many homes and businesses over the years. She loved her casino trips as well as playing B.I.N.G.O. She was an avid doll collector.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113.
Adelaide's funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the funeral home with the Rev. Roxie Roush officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Seneca County.
