Betty Humbarger Obituary

Betty Humbarger

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Betty (Biller) Humbarger, 86, of Bellevue, who passed away peacefully Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born August 21, 1938, in Tiffin, daughter of the late Sylvester and Estella (Hoffman) Welter. She was a devoted grandmother, sister, and friend, remembered for her unwavering kindness, strength, generous spirit, and warm sense of humor.

She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others before herself. Her home was a place of warmth and comfort where everyone felt welcome. As the proud owner of Betty's Family Restaurant, she spent countless years serving her community with love, good food, and a warm heart.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Mary (Norbert) Missler; grandchildren, Nicholas (Muriel) Missler, Wesley (Heather) Missler, Ryan (Amber) Missler, Kiel (Alyssa) Missler, Angel Ward, Jeremy (Sarah) Wiswell, and Elijah (Jessica) Wiswell; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Jim Wiswell.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Humbarger, whom she married April 28, 1957, in Tiffin; daughter, Ruth Wiswell; great-great-grandchild, Luna Schwanger; and numerous siblings.

Her memory will be forever cherished, and her love will continue to guide us.
