Beverly Wheatley

Beverly Jean Wheatley, 98, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at her residence.

Beverly was born May 1, 1927, to the late Robert J. and Emma Louise (Heller) Houk. She married Jerald E. Wheatley, June 14, 1947, at First Lutheran Church in Tiffin, and they spent 77 wonderful years together.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol L. Coffman of Tiffin; daughter-in-law, Rose Wheatley; brother-in-law, Richard Wheatley; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Beverly was a homemaker and a 1945 graduate of Columbia High School. She was a life member of First Lutheran Church, a 72-year member of Eastern Star No. 189, and a member of Seneca County Genealogical Society. Beverly loved to be outdoors and enjoyed gardening, camping, and traveling around the world with her husband, Jerald. She also loved sewing, knitting, and working at home. She made hundreds of beanies and wash rags.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald; her parents; her son, Michael Wheatley; her son-in-law, James Coffman; and her brother, Charles Houk.

Her memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at First Lutheran Church in Tiffin. A private burial for Beverly will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
