Boog (Harold) Fredritz
Boog (Harold) Fredritz, 68, of McCutchenville, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, after a two-year battle against melanoma.
Boog was born June 20, 1957, in Findlay, to the late Henry and Mary (Azira) Fredritz. He married Joan Stahl, November 3, 1984, and she survives. Boog was the proud father of Sarah (Mitch) Stearns, Kent (Jess) Fredritz, and Lauren (Grant) Ekleberry. Nothing brought Boog greater joy than being "Grandpa" to Willow, Miles, and Mabel Stearns; Rayna and Beau Fredritz; and Cambree, Lance, and Merrick Ekleberry. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent teaching, teasing, and creating memories. He was also survived by his siblings, John (Mary) Fredritz, June (Rick) Gottfried, Chuck (Carol) Fredritz and Dale (Annie) Fredritz.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Fredritz and a niece, Julie Gottfried.
Boog was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was full of life. He shared a strong and loving marriage with his wife, Joan, building the life of a true farmer.
Boog had a deep passion for farming and hunting. Whether he was out in the fields at sunrise or in the woods until dark during deer season, he was happiest outdoors. Farming was more than work to him-it was a way of life that reflected his values of hard work, dedication, and resilience.
He will be remembered for sharing his garden, selling pumpkins, his strong work ethic, and the quiet way he showed his love-through actions more than words. His legacy will forever live on in the family he cherished and the land he tended.
Boog's memory will always remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Boog will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St.,
