Catherine E. "Cathy" Fassler

Catherine E. "Cathy" Fassler, 80, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at St. Francis Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 21, 1942, in Tiffin, to Robert L. Fassler and Margaret Lawrence.

She is survived by her brother, Randy (Deborah) Fassler of Tiffin; nephews, Jake Heil, Jim Heil, and Cory Jones; and niece, Bridgette Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Betty L. Fassler; brother, Robert Eugene Fassler; and sister, Pam Schmitt-Gray.

Catherine graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and retired from Tiffin Metal Products in 2008. She was a member of Family of Faith Church, was in the National Guard for nine years with a E-5 Sgt. Rank, and enjoyed making afghans for friends, watching television, sudoku puzzles. and loved her dogs, especially her neighbor's Corgi, Bentley.

There will not be any services at this time. Burial will be at a later date at Rock Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Seneca County.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.
