David Garcia

David Garcia, 64, of Bloomville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

David was born June 9, 1959, in Alice, Texas, to Adan and Maria (Garcia) Garcia. He married Lelia (Stallings) on July 13, 1991, in Tiffin, and she survives in Bloomville. He previously married Becki Lenhart Garcia and she survives in Willard.

David's survivors also include his mother, Maria Garcia of Willard; children, Wes (Val Staller) Garcia of Lorain, Eric (Jill) Bisignano of Gahanna, Lucas Garcia of Plymouth, Emily (Nate Falknor) Bisignano of Findlay, Jared Garcia of Plymouth, and Rachel (John) Garcia-Leitz of Willard; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Adan (Lisa) Garcia of Willard and Jesse (Meredith Griffin) Garcia of Willard; sister, Melba Cantu of Willard; brother-in-law, Larry (Julie) Strang of Toledo; sister-in-law, Megan (Joe) Tabor of Las Vegas, Nevada; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

David retired from CSX Railroad and was a member of Jesus Way of Life Ministry in Bloomville. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite, Tiffin Hornets, Tiffin Shriners, and Bloomville American Legion. He was also a member for over 40 years of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Workers for CSX.

David was preceded in death by his father; brother, Charles Garcia; brother-in-law, Roger Cantu; and sister-in-law, Cindy Oberholtzer.

David's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Jesus Way of Life Ministry, Bloomville, with Pastor Bruce Biggs officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. There will be no burial at this time.
