Helen Bollinger Obituary

Helen L. Bollinger

Helen L. Bollinger, 86, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at The Willows at Tiffin.

Helen was born April 26, 1939, in Mansfield, to the late John and Mary (Davidson) Pfahler. She married Robert C. Bollinger, March 20, 1965, at First English Lutheran Church in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sister, Janice Creps of Oak Brook, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.

Helen graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1957. She ran the hobby store in Tiffin with her husband, Robert, for many years. Helen spent the last 61 years camping in Catawba. She enjoyed being in the company of all the other campers and would often cook for them.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John Pfahler Jr., James Pfahler, Paul Pfahler, and David Pfahler; sisters, Maxine Smith, JoAnn Srater-McKee, Elaine Zellner, Patricia Whatman, Margaret Hudnall; and her twin, Mary Strong.

There will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Helen and Bob dedicated much of their lives improving downtown Tiffin. They worked as a team to help people with their businesses, as we rented store space from them. They were the early team to revitalize Tiffin.
