James Thompson Obituary

James E. "Jimbo" Thompson

James E. "Jimbo" Thompson, 60, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Dec. 19, 2023, at his home.

He was born May 11, 1963, in Fostoria, to James R. and Sandra (Lowery) Thompson.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra D. Thompson of Spring Hill, Florida; siblings, Susie (Kerry) Brownlow of Spring Hill, Florida, Randy (Danielle) Thompson and Harland "Smiley" Thompson, both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Thomas "Tommy" (Darla) Thompson of Fostoria; numerous nieces and nephews; and dog, Pinto.

Jimbo was preceded in death by his father.

Jimbo graduated from Fostoria High School in 1981. He was an U.S. Navy veteran and served in the search and rescue division. He was also a jet mechanic. He liked to read and cook and was an avid Three Stooges fan.

Jimbo's celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, where military honors will be performed by United Veterans of Fostoria.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to charity of the donor's choice.
