Janice Young Obituary
Janice Ann (Brown) Young, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at Hospice of NW Ohio.
She was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Tiffin, to Gilbert and Martha (Mitten) Brown. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School and Calvert High School in Tiffin in 1964. She worked at Champion Spark Plug and then Hydromatic, where she met her special friend, Travis. They loved camping together.
Janice was active in many volunteering endeavors including St. Vincent Hospital, Merit House, and driving Ursuline Sisters for appointments and shopping. She enjoyed crocheting many baby afghans and donating them to newborns.
Janice is survived by her partner in crime, Travis Poore; daughters, Christina Marie and Cheryl Lee Young; granddaughter, Kirsten Nicole Sprague; great-grandson, Brysen Kristopher; twin sister, Jeanne Marie Brown (Sister Janice Ann, O.S.U.); brothers, Stephen Joseph (Marilyn) Brown and James Gilbert (Doris) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for friends will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, Ohio, 43614, with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tiffin, for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Cherry Street Mission.

A lovely lady I had the pleasure of working with at the Augsburg food pantry. She will be missed by all those she volunteered for. Rest in Peace Jan.
