Ned F. Gregg

Ned F. Gregg, 93, of rural Sycamore, joined his wife, Donna, the love of his life, who died 17 days ago. He was born October 1, 1932, in Tiffin, to Wesley and Edna (Davis) Gregg. He married Donna (Schmidt) Gregg, September 28, 1958, and she died February 27, 2026.

Surviving are the following children, Joel Gregg, rural Sycamore, Jon Gregg, rural Sycamore, Sheila (Jeff) Waggy, Nevada, Ohio,and Scott Gregg, Tiffin. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jeremy Gregg, Kayleigh Taylor, Justin Gregg, Wesley Gregg, Senna Clark, Travis Gregg, Zach Gregg and Jagger Gregg; plus ten great-grandchildren and two sisters, Jean Walter, Burlington, North Carolina and Jo Miller, Upper Sandusky.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Vogel and a brother, Tom Gregg.

Ned was an auctioneer and real estate broker for Ned F. Gregg Realty Inc. for seventy-five years.

He was a member of Sycamore United Church of Christ, a member of Ohio Auctioneer Association, and was inducted into Ohio Auctioneer Association Hall of Fame. He was a member of National Auctioneer Association. Ned was a 1950 graduate of Sycamore High School and a member of Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250. He was a 67-year member of Enterprise Lodge No. 579 F&A.M. ,Sycamore, a 67-year member of Warpole Chapter No. 366 OES, Upper Sandusky, a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, and a member of Zenobia Shrine of Toledo. Ned was inducted in 2011 into the Mohawk Hall of Fame. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1956.

For hobbies, Ned loved birdwatching, boating, and farming, and he rode his gator around the farm to check the crops. He also loved his Black Angus cattle, which he raised, and he also had a passion for horses.

Funeral services for Ned will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Sycamore United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Darrin Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, where Sycamore American Legion Post No. 250 will conduct a military graveside service. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Sycamore United Church of Christ prior to funeral service.
