Joanna T. Buckley

Joanna T. Buckley, 98, passed away at The Willows at Tiffin Thursday, June 12, 2025. She was a lifetime Tiffin resident. Joanna was the eldest child of Jake and Carmilla Culichia.

She married A. Joseph Buckley on June 29, 1946, at St. Mary's Church and they were married for 72 years. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Deborah) Buckley of Republic, Andrea (James) Bernard of Hinckley, Andrew (Oksana) Buckley of Naples, Florida, and Tony (Bev) Buckley of Old Fort. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Joseph Buckley and her eldest son, Michael (Vicki) Buckley of Melmore. Joanna's siblings, Charles Culichia, Pete Culichia, and Antionette Schostek, also preceded her in death.

Joanna was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1944. After her children were grown, she worked at Stage Department until her retirement.

Joe and Joanna enjoyed traveling with their children, especially to Florida, to escape the cold winters. She helped Joe maintain his Junior Home Park for many years. She enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren most of all and was beloved by all of them.

Friends may visit with family from 9:30-11:30 a.m. before funeral at Hoffman-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin. Her funeral Mass will be at noon Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
