Rev. Larry L. Wagner

Rev. Larry L. Wagner, 77, of Tiffin, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at his residence.

Larry was born June 4, 1945, in Bucyrus, to the late Alford B. Jr. and Betty Mae (Hogan) Wagner. He married Cynthia Jean (McCreary) on Jan. 16, 1971, in Newark, Ohio, and she survives in Tiffin.

Larry is also survived by two sons, Dana (Rene Hill) Wagner and Eric Wagner, both of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Olivia, Austin, Allie, Anessa, and Micah; two brothers, Michael (Betty) Wagner of Findlay and Steve (Karen) Wagner of Lake Wales, Florida; and sister, Rebecca (John) Frederick of Upper Sandusky.

Larry worked as a lifelong minister of the Apostolic Faith. Larry started Tiffin Apostolic Church in 1986 and started a church in Marysville, Ohio, as well. Larry also worked as an assistant Pastor for a church in Wilmington, North Carolina. Larry was a 1965 graduate of Carey High School and also attended Ohio Bible College. He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Thomas Wagner.

The family would like to give a special thanks to ProMedica Hospice and nurse Jen for their care and special attention given to Larry.

Larry's funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services Tuesday at Fairmont Cemetery.
