Leila R. Wurm

Leila R. Wurm, 91, of Bloomville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

Leila was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Tiffin, to Tony and Corrine (Nye) Brickner. She married Gilbert J. Wurm on Oct. 15, 1960, at St. Andrews Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death Dec. 15, 2021.

Leila's survivors include six children, Tony (Janette) Wurm of Attica, Jim (Linda) Wurm of Republic, Don (Lisa Rombach) Wurm of Tiffin, Diane (Glen) Wise of Attica, David (Dee) Wurm of Charlestown, Indiana, and Dale (Danielle) Wurm of Findlay; seven grandchildren, Derek (Nicole) Wurm, Jarrod Wurm, Blake Wurm, Lauren Wurm, Dalton Wise, Alexis Wise, and Haylee Wurm; three great-grandchildren, Caden, Spencer, and Miles Wurm; and sister, Arlene Reinhart of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Janet Ann Wurm; sister, Mary Frankart; and brother, Wayne Brickner.

Leila was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica. Leila was a 1954 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph P. Joseph officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass at the church. Burial will follow services Friday at Seneca Memory Gardens in Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. The Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Willows of Tiffin or Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
