Lois J. Showman

Lois J. Showman, 94, of Bloomville, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

Lois was born March 19, 1929, in Sandusky, to Roy and Louise (Lawrence) Anderson. She married Donald L. Showman on Oct. 4, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and he preceded her in death Aug. 12, 1993.

Lois' survivors include two sons, Jerry (Darlene) Showman of Bloomville and Thomas (Cynthia) Showman of Willard; two daughters, Brenda (Prentice Meeks of Davenport, Florida, and Karen (Mark) Lindsey of Republic; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Lois worked as a nurse's aide at Tiffin State Hospital and Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville. She was 1947 graduate of Sandusky High School and she enjoyed ceramics, dancing, boating, and spending time with her family and many friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; special friend for many years, James Grahl; brother, Roy Anderson; and sister, Thelma Marinello.

Lois' funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home, Bloomville, with Pastor Tom Kagy officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
