Marilyn M. Hutchins

Marilyn M. Hutchins, 91, of Tiffin, was called to her eternal rest Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at The Courtyard at Tiffin.

She was born October 18, 1934, in Tiffin, to Alfred and Idella (Conrad) Gundlach and was the youngest of four children.

After graduating from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1952, Marilyn married Donald Hutchins at St. Paul's United Methodist Church April 24, 1954.

Marilyn was the proud mother of two children, Deb (William) Van Camp and Jeff (Tracy) Hutchins. She was the loving grandmother to Andrew Van Camp, Elizabeth (Jonathan Harrington) Van Camp, Nathan (Desiree' Molina) Hutchins and Emily (Noah) Pasquinelli. She also cherished her role as great-grandmother to Phoebe Harrington, who brought her boundless joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Hutchins; sisters, Kathryn White and Margaret Kistler; and her brother, Robert Gundlach.

A lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Marilyn was active in United Methodist Women, Partners in Faith, and Sharing Kitchen as well as a number of other church boards and committees. She was also a member of Tiffin Masonic Lodge No.77, Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 189. In her later years, she enjoyed activities at Allen Eiry Center and bus trips with Senior on the Go, as well as regular outings with the "Lunch Bunch."

Her funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Charlene Thomas officiating. Burial will be private at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 10 a.m. until time of her service Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
