Marion Schank Obituary
Marion J. Schank, 82, of Tiffin, died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born March 25, 1941, in Norwalk, to Herbert and Marcella (Miller) Schank. He married Rose Arend, they later divorced, and she survives in Sycamore.
Marion's other survivors include his children, Bob (Cindy) Schank of Twinsburg, Ed Schank of Sycamore, Anita (David) Poole of Willard, Dale Schank of Wise, Virginia, and Omar Schank of Westerville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Carl Schank; sister, Carol Stine; and brother, Gerard Schank.
Marion attended New Washington High School. He worked at American Standard for 23 years and later worked various jobs as a handyman/maintenance. He was often called upon by many to fix just about anything. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a Cub Scout leader.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Thomas Abraham.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
