Michael Thom Obituary
Michael A. "Mike" Thom, 63, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 1, 2024, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 1, 1961, in Tiffin, to Norman and Bernita (Montross) Thom. He married Tracy Veres on Aug. 17, 2007, and she survives.
Mike's survivors also include his mother, Bernita Thom of Tiffin; daughters, Jamie (Jim) Rupp of Clyde, Stefanie (Matt) Travis of Tiffin, Shannon (Josh) Thom of Tiffin, and Naleena Thom of Tiffin; sisters, Bev (Mike) Carter of Jacksonville, Florida, Diane (Skip) Culver of Tiffin, and Jodi (Randy) Carroll of Green Springs; brother, Steven (Chris) Thom of Tiffin; and special forever friend, Sharon Thom.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Thom; brother, Michael E. Thom; sister, Barb Miller; brother-in-law, Richard Miller; grandparents, Carl and Florence Thom and Enza and Clair Montross; and grandson, Joshua Johnson.
Mike previously worked at Meyers Construction, Revere Plastics, and CSP in Carey. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR (Chase Elliot, #9), going to Clinton Lake campground, and country road drives. He loved spending time with his eight grandchildren and two special great-nieces the most.
Mike's funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the funeral home. We are asking those who have a Mike Strong shirt to please wear them.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home to be put toward funeral expenses.
