Mildred "Millie" Fruth

Mildred "Millie" Fruth, 82, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

She was born December 25, 1942, in Gibsonburg to the late Lester and Hazel (Mathna) Leggitt. She married Richard J. Fruth on September 29, 1962, in Gibsonburg and he survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are four children, Cheri (Dave) Brown of Fostoria, Teresa (Terry) Gilbert of Fostoria, Chris Fruth of Luckey and Patti (Joel) Brown of Fostoria; grandchildren, Andrew (Adrienne) Brown, Tyler (Katina) Brown, Emily (Derek) Book, Erin (Zach) Arbogast, Megan (Tyler) Brown-Ruble, Kyle Fruth and Jami Fruth; great-grandchildren, Emersyn, Emmett, Elijah, Marina, Jensen, Alexis, Georgia and Tanner; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Helen, Lois, Margaret, Pat and Jane; and a great-grandchild, Kamryn Brown.

Millie graduated from Gibsonburg High School and helped on the family farm with her husband, Richard. She also worked at the former Pharm in Fostoria where she later retired from. Millie enjoyed traveling to the lake, snowmobiling, and watching the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes Football. Most of all she enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events and school activities.

Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830. The funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Amy Kinney presiding. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Jackson Township. Following the burial, there will be a luncheon and gathering at the funeral home in the reception area.

The family asks those that attend the visitation and funeral to wear Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes or casual attire in honor of Millie.
