Nellie Ohler Obituary
Nellie I. Ohler, 90, of Republic, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Nellie was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, October 17, 1935, to Roy and Dela (Cooley) Carver. She married Paul Ohler, September 1, 1972, in Bucyrus, and he preceded her in death January 16, 2006.
Survivors include her children, Wayne (Terry) Butler, Kenny (Nanette) Butler, Terri (Ron) Shulaw, Patricia (Perry) Perkins, all of Republic, Rodney (Michelle) Ohler of Upper Sandusky, Leanna Thompson of Sycamore, Kristi (Christopher) Beamer and Robert (Judy) Ohler, both of Bellevue; 27 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Nellie was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, gardening, and working with ceramics and her flowers.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Ron and Roger Ohler; and four sisters, Marge Meadows, Jean Sponsellar, Darlene Cobb, and Millie Whitworth.
Funeral services for Nellie will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. or Humane Society of Seneca County.
