Peggy Moerdyk Obituary

Peggy was a very generous, caring person. So many are blessed to know her like me. Keeping her family and friends in prayer.

I met Peggy, wife of my cousin, when I was a child at big family reunions. Immediately she became someone I looked forward to talking with each year.... because she always made me feel like she cared to talk with me. She fit into our family so well and I looked forward to our visit. This year was unusual and I am thankful I saw her twice. She hid her sickness well because she never acted nor looked unwell to me, so this news came as a shock. I especially ache for those who were closer to her, because this loss is huge. She put others first and, just like when I was a little cousin, she saw me, sat down beside me, and made me feel like I mattered. People (and animals) who had her in their lives on a regular basis will surely feel that loss in a big way, since she gave her big heart to them daily, but hopefully we let that love grow and show others the kindness she showed us, passing that torch of light she shone.
