Theresa Ann Walliser

Theresa Ann Walliser, 87, of Tiffin, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.

Theresa was born March 20, 1935, in Tiffin, to Ralph Francis and Leona T. (Steinmetz) Smith. She married Eugene L. Walliser on July 28, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he died Feb. 22, 2019.

Theresa's survivors include five sons, Thomas Walliser of Columbus, Joseph (Michele) Walliser of Winter Haven, Florida, Richard (Kim) Walliser of Jacksonville, Florida, John (Mandy) Walliser of Wayne, and James Walliser of Woodville; five daughters, Anne (Jim) Duty of Tiffin, Theresa Hernandez of Tiffin, Mary (Doug) Walliser of Dunnellon, Florida, Jeani (Buddy) Colley of Canfield, and Amy (Olivia) Walliser of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sister Regina Smith of Toledo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Paul Smith, Herman Smith, Joseph Smith, and Victor Smith; and three sisters, Sister Bonaventure, Irene Steinhauser, and Mary Alice Bouillon.

Theresa was a 1953 graduate of Calvert High School. She worked at LaSalle's Department Store and was also a homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Francis Auxiliary, and Rosary Altar Society.

Theresa's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-3113, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Francis Ciara Unit.
