Thomas A. Reser

Thomas A. Reser, 93, of Fremont, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.

Thom was born February 2, 1933, in Fremont, to Leon James Sr. and Lucille Katherine (Moltz) Reser. He first married Joan (Sorg) September 1, 1952, and they later divorced. He then married Cheryl (Stotz) April 15, 1995.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Reser of Fremont; his first wife, Joan Ruffing of Tiffin; children, Mike (Sue) Reser, Lynn (Rick) Harbaugh, Kevin (Diane) Reser, Connie English (Bill Reineke), Tony (Kate) Reser, Richard (Renee Perry) Reser, Terri Frankart all of Tiffin and Tim (Mary Ann) Reser of Fremont; and sister-in-law, Ann Reser of Upper Arlington. He was Grampy to 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Cheryl's children, Tom, Amy, Jenny and Matt.

Thom worked as a retailer, owning and operating Lee's Shoes in several area communities and was a 1951 graduate of Fremont St. Joseph High School.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon Jr. and Raymond Reser; sons-in-law, Christopher English and Douglas Frankart.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Fremont at a later date.

Memorial contribut-ions may be made to Prostate Cancer Awareness Fund of the Tiffin Community Foundation; St. Paul's Sharing Kitchen; or a charity of the donor's choice.
