Audrea J. Hoyda

Audrea J. Hoyda, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

Audrea was born Nov. 3, 1936, in Tiffin, to Louis C. and Florence M. (Hoffman) McDonald. She married Richard W. Hoyda on June 5, 1955, in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death Nov. 19, 2015.

Audrea's survivors include her children, Jeff (Kyle) Hoyda of Tiffin, Tom (Michele Thatcher) Hoyda of Tiffin, Jane (Kevin) Stephenson of Reynoldsburg, and Scott (Laurie) Hoyda of Shelby; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Eldon S. McDonald of Washington; and sister, Janet Stackhouse of Willard.

Audrea was a homemaker and member of Family of Faith Lutheran Church. Audrea was a 1954 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football and Cleveland Browns fan.

Audrea was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Robert and Gary McDonald.

Audrea's funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, with Pastor Phillip Moerdyk officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 12-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
