Dolores Bernadette Cool

Dolores Bernadette Cool, 89, of Tiffin, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023, at St. Francis Home.

She was born April 18, 1934, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Horace G. and Catherine M. (Mummery) Reid. She married James J. Cool on Jan. 17, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and he died Feb. 14, 2011.

Dolores' survivors include six children, Michael J. (Rhonda) Cool of Fostoria, Mary C. (Gregory) Javor of Chicago, Illinois, Donald P. (Christie) Cool of Glendale, Arizona, Janet A. (Ken Corliss) Cool of Columbus, Jacqueline C. (Frank) Brickner of Tiffin, and Charles L. (Judy) Cool of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Thomas J. Cool; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Cool.

Dolores was a 1952 graduate of Catholic Central High School of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She worked at Republic Lumber and also co-owned Pancoast Furniture, Republic, with her husband until they retired.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and was an avid bridge player and golfer. She was also the organist at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Republic, for many years, and loved teaching catechism at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Wickenburg, Arizona, in her later years.

Visitation for family and friends will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Anthony Coci will officiate. The rosary will be recited at the church 30 minutes prior to Mass. Inurnment will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church Columbarium in Wickenburg. Memorial Mass will be at a later date in Wickenburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvert Catholic Schools, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or Alzheimer's Association.
