Edward Wangler Obituary
Edward C. "Ed" Wangler, 89, of Fostoria, passed away at 9:40 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born December 8, 1935, in Fostoria, to the late James and Irene (Hensley) Wangler. He married Pauline E. Zoeller, April 24, 1954, at St. Boniface Church, New Riegel, and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are children, Kathleen "Kathy" (Tim) Beckman, Florida, Cindy (Steve) Hunt, Fostoria, Janet (Mark) Line, Colorado, Tom (Sunny) Wangler, Dublin and Denise Sutherland, Massillon; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a great-grandson; a brother, Richard Wangler; and a sister, Mary Lou Collins.
Ed retired as a supervisor after working for several area factories. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
Ed was a gifted handyman. He enjoyed playing euchre. After he lost his vision, he enjoyed listening to audiobooks.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830, where a Vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Novembe 12, 2025, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Poggemeyer presiding. Fostoria United Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the church gathering space following Mass. A luncheon will be served in the parish hall.
Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to Bridge Hospice Care or Fostoria United Veterans Honor Guard.
