Kenneth C. McKinney

Kenneth C. McKinney, 82, of Sycamore, died at 7:54 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.

He was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Charles J. and Marian E. (Brick) McKinney. He married Jacqueline M. (Mogle) McKinney on Nov. 11, 1961, and she survives in Sycamore.

Kenneth is also survived by two children, Tammy (Steven) Dunbar of Arlington and Michael (Kathy) McKinney of Upper Sandusky; four grandchildren, Roy (Ashley) McKinney, Geoffrey (Sarah) Dunbar, Matthew McKinney, and Karrie McKinney; four great-grandchildren, Dakota McKinney, Denver McKinney, Gage McKinney, and Mar Dunbar; and two sisters, Leatrice (Alan) Karcher of Tiffin and Carol (Dave) Reep of Upper Sandusky.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Dunbar, who died in 2004; three brothers; and his parents.

Kenneth was a chain assembler, having worked 41 years at Webster Manufacturing, Tiffin. He was a member of Plankton United Methodist Church, was a 1960 graduate of Sycamore High School, was a member of the former Sycamore Horseshoe Club, and worked the chain gang for Mohawk Jr. High football for many years.

For hobbies, he loved to do woodworking projects, work in his garden, give blood every time he could, loved watching his grandchildren play sports at Mohawk and Carey, and was the family croquet champion.

Kenneth's memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Brett Kelly officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
